Seeking: Technical Co-Founder

Think you’re up for the challenge?

Join as the technical co-founder of a patient-focused app designed to simplify and humanize the patient experience.

You’ll lead the architecture and development of an intelligent, secure, and empathetic platform that creates a seamless and intuitive user experience—redefining how patients experience healthcare.

    • Deep empathy for patients—ideally has experienced or witnessed the complexity of navigating the healthcare system firsthand

    • Bonus: interest or experience in digital health, health equity, or patient advocacy

    • Desire to challenge the status quo in healthcare tech and simplify complexity

    • Curious and creative mindset

    • Comfort with ambiguity and iteration—capable of building fast, breaking smart, and learning continuously

    • Excited about early-stage startup life: lean MVPs, direct user feedback loops, and hands-on problem-solving

  • Frontend:

    • React/React Native for cross-platform web and mobile experiences

    • Strong understanding of modern UX/UI for healthcare or complex data workflows

    • Familiarity with accessibility and usability standards in healthcare contexts

    Backend:

    • Python (FastAPI, Django) or Node.js (Express, NestJS) for scalable RESTful APIs

    • Strong grounding in database design—SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore)

    • Experience with authentication, authorization, and secure session management (OAuth2, JWT)

    • Cloud infrastructure setup and deployment (AWS, GCP, or Vercel/Firebase for early MVPs)

    • CI/CD setup, containerization (Docker), and scalable hosting

    • Cloud data security and encryption best practices

    • Version control and collaboration via Git and modern development workflows

    • Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom Python/JS agents)

    • Experience with contextual memory, tool use, and multi-step reasoning workflows

    • Ability to integrate voice or chat interfaces and handle stateful AI interactions

    • Familiarity with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)

    • Experience consuming and normalizing data from EHR APIs (Epic, Cerner, Athena, Particle Health, etc.)

    • Understanding of healthcare identifiers (MRN, NPI), HIPAA, and privacy requirements

    • Handling sensitive health information securely (encryption, audit logging, RBAC)

    • Designing systems to comply with HIPAA and HITECH frameworks

    • Comfortable bridging patient-entered data with clinical data streams
